Lunch. Play today's world

Privacy Policy

Lunch doesn't know who you are. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking. To make the game better, Lunch sends anonymous play stats, and you can turn them off. This matches what the App Store shows for Lunch: Data Not Linked to You.

Anonymous play stats

While "Share anonymous stats" is on (it is unless you turn it off), Lunch sends us how the game goes: when a run starts and ends, how long it lasted and the score, which world, what happened in it (bites, tackles, pauses and the like), how long since you last played, the Daily you played and where it ranked, whether you opened or bought All of Lunch, which settings you changed, your answer if Lunch asks whether you're enjoying it, which kind of Lunch link opened the app (such as the Daily or the stickers, never the link itself), and crashes and errors. Each event also carries your device model, system version and the version of Lunch.

These stats carry a random number made up by the app, not your name, email, Apple Account or Game Center name. We don't keep your IP address or look up where you are; the only place in them is the region your device is set to (a country, such as Spain). We can't tell who you are from them, and we don't try.

In the App Store's terms, that is Product Interaction, Crash Data, Other Diagnostic Data and a Device ID (the random number), used for analytics and to keep the app working. None of it is linked to you and none of it is used for tracking.

They go to PostHog, which stores them for us in the European Union. PostHog processes them only on our behalf, under its privacy policy and data processing terms. We keep them for up to a year.

Turning them off

On Apple Watch, tap the cog on the start screen to open Tune the feel. On iPhone and iPad, tap the cog on the start screen to open Settings. Turn off "Share anonymous stats" and nothing more is sent from that device. Deleting Lunch also stops it.

What stays on your device

Your best score in each world, your Daily history and streak, and your settings are saved on the device. Bests, history and streak are never sent to us; when you change a setting, the stats note which one and its new value. Deleting Lunch deletes all of it.

Apple and Game Center

Apple handles your purchase and download under Apple's Privacy Policy. If you use Game Center, your Daily scores go to Apple's leaderboards under your Game Center name; Apple runs Game Center, and we only see the boards as other players do. If you share analytics with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may also share anonymous crash reports and usage figures with us.

What we don't do

We don't sell or share your data with advertisers, we don't use an advertising identifier, and Lunch doesn't use your location, health data or contacts.

Children

Lunch asks for no personal information from anyone, including children. Play stats are anonymous and can be turned off.

Your rights

The random number belongs to one install of Lunch. Turn off "Share anonymous stats" and delete Lunch, and nothing connects you to what was sent before; it is deleted when the year is up. Because the stats can't be tied to you, we usually can't find a particular person's data. If you have a question or want to exercise a right under privacy law, email us and we'll help as far as we can.

Changes

If what Lunch collects changes, we will update this page, change its effective date and update the App Store privacy details before that version is released.
